The Government has reiterated that people will need to have a reasonable excuse to travel in the wake of a Youtuber being hit with a Covid fine after travelling from Leeds to Lincoln to record a video.
Marti Blagborough made the trip to the city from Yorkshire along with his friend, Matthew Turnbull, who came from Cumbria, on Tuesday, February 16.
While in the city they recorded footage of the police station at South Park and of Lincoln Prison as they claimed to have seen data suggesting the rate of covid fines being handed out was high in the county.
Mr Blaborough, 28 and a dad-of-three, argued that they need unique video in order to make a living and therefore could not reasonably work at home – one of the reasons the Government says is acceptable to travel outside the area where you live during lockdown.
However, police didn’t agree
