A woman and 12 men have been jailed for their roles in a drug wholesale operation that supplied dealers across the county.
The gang, based in Highfields, Leicester, ran a phone line for dealers to place large orders for drugs including heroin and cocaine they could then sell on to users.
The line was operated by Adam Mayat and Mohamed Khan who had a team of runners who would go out to meet their customers – the street dealers - and sell them the drugs.
The police became aware of the dealer hotline in January 2018 and it soon became clear that members of the gang were being sent beyond Leicestershire to buy the drugs – travelling to Manchester and Sheffield and coming back with huge amounts of drugs - weights of about a kilogram at a time.
