A former boarding school teacher who abused boys in his care is facing his second term in prison.
George Haynes, 69, taught at schools in Leicester, Gloucester and Sussex during his career as an English teacher and was jailed in 1994 for indecently assaulting a child at a Sussex school in 1993.
Since then he has been banned from teaching and he lives in Church Lane, Northampton, and works in a book shop.
He was back before a jury this year after two other boys – one from the Leicester school and one from the Gloucester school – made new allegations against him.
The Leicester victim told a jury at Gloucester Crown Court that he was 13 when, in the early 1980s, he was summoned to Haynes’ bedroom in the school building to be told off for making a rude comment about Haynes, which the teacher said he had overheard.
