Electric car charging points have been installed across Nottingham city aimed specifically at powering up the city's taxis.
Traffic orders on a lamppost in Peachey Street, off Mansfield Road, state the charging points are to be in place alongside parking restrictions across the city centre.
This includes Faraday Road, Hanley Street, Lenton Boulevard, Mount Street, North Sherwood Street, Peachey Street, Peel Street and Victoria Embankment.
In the notice, the order states: "The effect of the order is to encourage sustainable travel, and improve air quality by introducing the parking restrictions and prohibitions listed in the schedule.
"To introduce electric taxi only charging bays at any time, operating all days, maximum stay two hours, no return within two hours.
