Residents and a councillor have expressed their shock after a 16-year-old boy was hospitalised following a stabbing in a "very quiet area" of Bulwell.
Nottinghamshire Police were called to Charlock Close at around 5.35pm on Saturday (February 20) when a boy suffered stab wounds to his stomach and shoulder.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering, however he remains in hospital for treatment.
People in the area described seeing sirens and being blocked from accessing their properties via car, with a police cordon set up "for a few hours" while initial enquiries took place.
Officers then returned to the area on Sunday afternoon, with investigations of nearby drain networks taking place.
A neighbour, who did not want to give her name, told Nottinghamshire Live: "I was at Tesco at the time so I missed most of the commotion.
