The Prime Minister has confirmed pubs will be able to reopen to serve customers outdoors from April 12 at the earliest.
In step two of the Government's 'lockdown roadmap' announced in Parliament today (February 22) it was confirmed people will be able to visit pubs, restaurants and other hospitality venues outdoors.
Groups of up to six people, or two households, will be able to get together for a pint provided it is outside a venue such as in a beer garden.
In addition, the substantial meal requirement from previous restrictions will not be imposed on punters, and no curfew will be placed on venues.
Mr Johnson said step two will begin “at least five weeks” after the first phase and no earlier than April 12, with an announcement at least seven days in advance.
The first step includes the full reopening of schools and friends being able to meet outside,
