The busy A46 was shut this morning after a lorry and car crashed on the edge of the city.
Emergency services were called to the Leicester Western Bypass in Glenfield near the Groby Road roundabout at 7.30am today, where the southbound carriageway was closed.
Fire and rescue crews arrived on the scene with a technical rescue team.
On their arrival, one person was still in their vehicle but Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that no one was trapped and in need to extrication.
One woman was assessed by East Midlands Ambulance Services at the scene but did not have any apparent injuries, according to fire and rescue control.
