A driver who was arrested after a car failed to stop for police yesterday is facing a lockdown fine, driving charges and possible deportation.
Numerous police vehicles were seen around the Fosse Road South area of Leicester's West End around 5pm yesterday.
A man was later seen being arrested at an address in Cherryleas Drive, near the Westcotes Health Centre.
LeicestershireLive contacted the police and the force said the driver of a car fled on foot after officers tried to pull the vehicle over.
Both the alleged driver and a second person who was allegedly a passenger in the car have been issued with £200 fines for breaching the lockdown rules.
The driver is also facing traffic offence charges and deportation.
