A man was attacked with his own scooter as he rode it down the street during the school-run, police have reported.
The man, who is in his 50s, was on his way to pick up a child from school when he was reportedly assaulted by another man in South Street in Barrow upon Soar, near Loughborough, last month.
After assaulting him, the man then used the metal scooter to further attack him, the victim has told police.
As a result of the attack, which police say took place at 2.45pm on Thursday, January 21, the man suffered a broken arm.
A 42-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He was later released from custody but remains under investigation.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward, including those who they say would have been in the area because of the the school-run.
