Nottinghamshire public health bosses' message ahead of lockdown easing again on May 17

Nottingham and Nottinghamshire are "in a good position" to progress through the lockdown 'roadmap' on May 17.

This is the view of public health bosses in the city and county, who issued the message alongside a plea for residents not to be complacent with the rules.

More restrictions will be eased on Monday, May 17, as part of the next phase of the lockdown easing process, which will include the indoor return of pubs, bars and restaurants.

Other indoor facilities like cinemas and theatres are expected to reopen their doors on the same date which, if all goes to plan, will be five weeks after the recent April 12 easing.

And public health bosses for the city and county have spoken about the positive way our area has responded to the loosened measures, as well as its impact on infection rates.
