Line of Duty's latest blockbuster season bowed out last night with the identity of the fourth man, or H, revealed.

In a finale that some fans have suggested was a bit underwhelming Kate, Steve, and DI Hastings discovered that bumbling Ian Buckells was coordinating a group of different gangs.

AC-12 also discovered a lockbox of murder weapons and evidence providing the irrefutable proof that would surely help close the long-running investigation at the centre of all six seasons of the show.

But with H behind bars and awaiting trial, Ryan Pilkington dead and Hastings set to retire (unless his appeal against the move is a success) many fans have been left asking one big question - will there be a new season?

Series creator Jed Mercurio may have provided a clue of sorts, tweeting just before midnight after the final episode landed on BBC One.
