Adventurous couple plan voyage of discovery with their kids in council bus transformed into a home

A couple have transformed an ex-council bus they bought on e-Bay for £8,000 into an 'all mod cons' mobile home and are now planning to satisfy their wanderlust by embarking on an open-ended voyage of discovery.

Thariea and River Paige are preparing to take their children and their newly ‘pimped ride’ through Europe and all the way to Africa when global coronavirus restrictions allow.

In the meantime, self-taught DIY experts Thariea and River have told how they spent £13,000 renovating the bus, which had been used to transport disabled and elderly people.

The couple, who previously lived in Broughton Astley, had never even hung a picture when they bought the 7.6m long ex-Bournemouth council eight-seater bus last March – with space for four additional wheelchairs and a driver.
