Plumbing and plastering apprentices wanted across Derby

Derby Homes has revealed it has vacancies and is looking to take on those in need of work for apprenticeships.

The housing manager has roles available in business administration, housing and surveying, along with a range of construction trades, including electrical, joinery, plumbing and plastering.

Applications are open to anyone who is over 16 and is not in full-time education - salaries are in-line with the National Minimum Wage.

A Derby Homes spokesperson said: “We provide our apprentices with transferable qualifications and work experience to help them achieve a future career with us or another employer.

"We aim to educate all apprentices to level three. Depending on your level of study, your apprenticeship will take anywhere between one and four years to complete.

"Our apprentices are treated as employees, are part of our balanced workforce and work to the same terms and conditions as our other staff.”
