Neighbours say they "aren't surprised" there are plans to build new apartments in an industrial building in Nottingham.

The apartments would be added to the currently disused industrial building at 114 Raleigh Street in the Arboretum area of the city.

The site, which falls opposite the grade II listed All Saints Church, would house 16 apartments and 10 car parking spaces.

The existing building would be demolished and replaced with an apartment building if the scheme gets the go-ahead.

People who lives nearby say they can see why more people would want to live in the area and that the building is a good potential site for a housing development.

Joe Hanes, 48, who lives in Arboretum, told Nottinghamshire Live: "I can't say it surprises me - there's a lot of that sort of housing around here.
