Parents in Broughton Astley have been warned after a student was approached by a man after finishing school for the day.
Letters were sent out to parents by Thomas Estley Community College, saying that one of the students was approached by a man after home time on Friday afternoon.
The incident happened in Coventry Road, opposite the Spar convenience store, and was reported to the school over the weekend.
Thomas Estley Community College has since contacted the police regarding the incident, as well as other schools in the area to ensure parents and children remain vigilant.
The letter, by Vice Principal Cathy Cornelius, said: "I have received information over the weekend that one of our students was approached by a male in a dark blue Renault car at 4.10pm on Friday evening near to Coventry Road, facing the Spar shop.
