Boris Johnson invited to Lincoln Christmas Market

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been formally invited to this year's Lincoln Christmas Market.

The PM received the invitation from Lincoln MP Karl McCartney during yesterday's Prime Minister's Questions (PMQs).

Taking to the floor at Westminster's House of Commons, Mr McCartney said: "From Thursday, December 2 to Sunday, December 5, Lincoln will be hosting its world-famous Christmas market in the grounds of the historic Lincoln Castle.

"It would be remiss of me not to invite my right honourable friend, and yourself Mr Speaker, and all other colleagues, even those on the opposition front bench, to come and enjoy the marvelous long weekend of festivities."

In response, the Prime Minister said: "I thank my honourable friend very much for this question and I will do my utmost - he has invited everybody and I hope that a lot
