KFC wants to relocate one of its Lincoln stores and build a new one as part of ambitious plans for 500 new branches nationwide.

The fast-food chain has given the suggestion of relocating a drive-thru store in the centre of Lincoln, whilst also looking to build a new store in the south of the city.

However, these plans are only provisional at the moment, with no location for the stores confirmed as of yet, a spokesperson said.

A list of 500 new locations was produced in The Mirror, however, KFC has said that the list is "only speculative" for now.

A KFC spokesperson said: “This list is only speculative – no current plans to open a new restaurant in your area. But as the list proves, we’re always on the lookout for new sites so who knows what the future holds."
