Lincoln residents 'don't feel safe' after two men injured in machete incident

People living in a Lincoln street where two men were injured in an incident involving a machete say they are worried for their safety. Armed police raced to St Peter's Avenue, to the south of Boultham Park, just before 9.30pm on Tuesday, June 21 following calls about disorder involving a man reportedly armed with a machete.

One man in his 20s was wounded in one of his legs and a man in his 50s sustained a fracture to his skull and jaw. Both men received emergency care at the scene and were hospitalised. Police said the suspects had already left the scene prior to their arrival and a manhunt continues.

Many residents heard and saw the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance attend the incident, along with a police helicopter that flew over the area for about an hour. On Wednesday morning, there were three strips of police tape across
