Weather forecasts are predicting significant thunderstorms throughout Lincolnshire, and have issued a weather warning. The yellow warning comes into effect from 10am on Thursday, June 23, and lasts until midnight of the same day - posing the risk of heavy rain at Lincolnshire Show.

The warning covers a huge area, ranging from south Wales and Devon to London. Lincoln, Boston and Skegness are covered, but parts of the north of Lincolnshire are not subject to the warning, the Met Office says.

A statement from the Met Office says: "Thunderstorms and torrential downpours may cause travel disruption and, in a few places, flooding. There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds."
