Police issue update on urgent manhunt after machete attack

Police officers are continuing their urgent search with a police presence in the area where two suspects on the run may have injured two people with a machete. Officers received several calls about disorder involving a man armed with what was reported to be a machete at an address in St Peters Avenue, Lincoln, just before 9.30pm last night (June 21).

Two men were found at the scene with serious injuries requiring hospital treatment. One man in his 20s was found by officers with a wound to his leg and a man in his 50s had suffered a fracture to his skull and jaw.

Both men received emergency care at the scene and remain in hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening. Lincolnshire Police said there will continue to be a police presence in the area tonight whilst further enquiries are carried
