Two men seriously injured in St Peters Avenue incident as police called to man with machete

Two men have been hospitalised after police were called to reports of a man with a machete. Officers were called to St Peters Avenue in the Moorland area of Lincoln just before 9.30pm on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

Specialist officers found one man in his 20s with a wound to his leg and a man in his 50s who had suffered a fracture to his skull and jaw. Both men received emergency care at the scene and were subsequently sent to hospital to receive more treatment.

The suspects had left the scene before police arrived and officers are now conducting a search to find them. A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: "We remain on scene and in the local area today while we conduct enquiries.
