Woman thrown in air and seriously injured in collision with motorbike

A woman in her 20s has been seriously injured in a collision with a motorbike as she crossed a road in Lincoln. The incident involving a black and orange bike and its rider happened in Coleridge Gardens, St Giles, at about 9pm on Friday, June 17.

A police spokesman said: "The woman was thrown in the air and the rider of the motorcycle then lost control of the bike before colliding with a parked car. The woman is being treated in hospital for serious head injuries and other injuries to her body."

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. The spokesman added: "Following extensive enquiries by our roads policing unit and Lincoln neighbourhood policing team, we arrested a 28-year-old man at around 9.45am on June 22 at an address in Lincoln.
