The Lincoln pub with riverside beer garden its new landlord is hoping to revive

An ambitious new landlord has taken on the challenge of restoring a "rundown" pub in Lincoln with a riverside beer garden. The Plough is located on Newark Road, off a busy main road heading into Lincoln and sits alongside the River Witham.

The pub has been taken over by David Gibbins, 47, who will actively be running front of house and has 15 years of experience in catering, restaurant and bar work. The Plough which dates back to 1802, was last taken over with a new look revealed in May 2021 by Ian Sievwright, who also manages the Lion and Snake in the Bailgate.

Mr Gibbins, who is living above the pub with his two German shepherds said: "It's quite run-down and in quite a lot of disrepair so my plans
