Two brothers who opened the gates of a compound so their dad could drive off in a van he was not permitted to use have been fined hundreds of pounds. Callum Winslow, 22, Lewis Winslow, 25, and their dad Paul Winslow took the Mercedes Sprinter van from a yard in Boundary Road, South Hykeham, after all three cable layers were sacked.
Lincoln Magistrates' Court heard the van was fitted with a tracker device and police stopped it in Broadgate, Lincoln, and arrested the trio. Lottie Tyler, prosecuting, said: "At 8am on June 23 an employer calls the police after terminating three employees' contracts, who then proceeded to take a Mercedes Sprinter from Trust Utility Management without consent."
The court heard Paul Winslow, 45, was the driver and his sons were passengers. The brothers admitted taking the vehicle without the owners' consent. Paul Winslow also admitted the charge at
