A disgruntled mechanic stole a toolbox from an MOT garage he did work for but did not receive payment. The incident saw Ashley Underwood argue with the garage's owner before he walked out with the stolen tools.
Underwood told Leicester Magistrates' Court heard on Friday (August 30) that he had been hired two years ago to do a job for Abbey Cars & MOT in Uppingham Road, Leicester, and had been due to use the garage's equipment. However, he claimed the garage did not have the right equipment so he told the garage he would just charge them £100 because the job couldn't be completed.
It was in January this year that Underwood went to the garage to get the money at long last from the owner, but an argument followed between the pair. Underwood then walked
