A young 21-year-old entrepreneur, who suffers from a life-limiting form of cancer, has opened a new shop at Mercia Marina. Hannah Roberts, who was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in 2022, hopes to raise £203,000 to buy a lodge at the South Derbyshire attraction for use by teenagers and young adults under the care of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
With £91,000 raised to date, under the charity fundraiser ‘Hannah’s Hope’, Hannah, along with mum, Gail Iredale and Gail’s husband Wayne, are hoping to boost that total with the launch of the ‘boutique’ and charity HQ at the marina. Hannah spent one-and-a-half years under the care of the teenage cancer ward at Nottingham City Hospital, with surgeries at Nottingham QMC.
