A new 72-place nursery has been officially opened in a Derbyshire town. Cherubs Nurseries is situated on Mundy Street in Ilkeston.

The nursery aims to set itself apart from the competition offering a “family club feel” to parents and children alike. The Deputy Mayor of Erewash Harry Atkinson officially opened the nursery on Friday, August 30 before the first children came through the doors on Monday, September 2.

The newly renovated and refurbished nursery is in a former factory kitchen restaurant, and is split across 4-age appropriate rooms. The nursery wants to promote a different ethos to their approach, by encouraging parents to meet with each other before heading off to work, in order to promote the “family club feel” that Cherubs is trying to nourish.
