The founder of Electric Daisy has set an ambitious target of "re-imagining" Derby in a bid to help change the city's image and shake off recent bad press. Jamie Quince Starkey made the vow upon announcing a new day festival that is aiming to attract thousands to the city centre this month.
Organised by Down To Earth and the University of Derby, the event will focus on creating a new image for the city centre, after recent reports from national media including The Sun stating that the city is one of the worst in the country to visit. Activities and events will start at 10am and finish at 10.30pm on Saturday, September 21, with the timetable for the event to be announced in the near future.
The day festival will take place across a variety of locations,
