Those grieving the loss of a loved one may be eligible for up to £3,500.
The Bereavement Support Payment provides financial support for those who have lost a partner. It has also replaced a number of benefits that offered similar levels of support, including Widowd parent's Allowance and Bereavement Allowance (previously known as Widows' Pension).
It is important to note that Bereavment Support Payment is also non means-tested which means your income and how much you have in savings will have no effect on the amount of money you may be eligible for.
