Residents' safety is 'top priority' says council leader after Bhim Kohli's death

The leader of Blaby District Council has vowed to make residents feel safe after the death of Bhim Kohli. The 80-year-old died on Monday evening after suffering serious neck and spine injuries in a Braunstone Town park at 6.30pm on Sunday (September 1).

Mr Kohli, a grandad and former factory owner, had lived next to Franklin Park for 40 years and regularly walked his dog there. The neighbourhood is part of Blaby district.

This afternoon (Wednesday, September 4) Terry Richardson, leader of Blaby District Council, paid tribute to Mr Kohli. He said: “On behalf of Blaby District Council, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Mr Kohli’s family, friends and all who knew him.
