Vandals have targeted graves in an "appalling" attack at a Leicestershire cemetery. Oadby and Wigston Borough Council has described the damage at Wigston Cemetery as "heartbreaking for the victims", and is appealing for anyone with information to contact the police.
No information has been released on when the vandalism took place, nor how many graves or memorials were targeted. However, in a post on social media, a spokesperson for the council condemned attacks as "appalling, intolerable behaviour". The incident is being investigated by the police.
