Birds Bakery has revealed it will open most of its shops on Sundays to offer "greater convenience" for its customers. Several of Leicestershire's branches will follow the move which is set to create 70 new roles across the country.
The move, which has been confirmed by Birds bosses, affects 41 of the 61 branches across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. The first Sunday trading is coming very soon too, with baked goods on offer from Sunday, September 15, reports Nottinghamshire Live.
The decision has led to the creation of over 70 new roles. Birds said the new positions will cover the stores themselves as well as bakery and dispatch operations.
