Hundreds of people have complained about last weekend's Darley Park Concert calling it a "shambles" and "the worst yet" on the organiser Derby LIVE's Facebook site, with many vowing never to go again. Complaints mainly centred around the reduced firework display, not being allowed to take in drinks, queues for food and drink and the elderly having to walk long distances.
One veteran of the event wrote: "No longer a fun family event for all ages, now just another money making scheme. Gigs are gigs - the Darley Park concert used to be something different but now with the cost of entry, restrictions, over zealous security measures etc it is a million miles away from the fun, free end of summer celebration that it used to be."
This was echoed by another complainant who said: "It’s terrible what you’ve done Derby LIVE. I have been going to the Darley
