A frustrating 300-day wait is set to finally come to an end as one of the Peak District's beloved attractions reopens. Forming part of the popular Thorpe Cloud Walk near Ilam, Dovedale Stepping Stones have long been a firm favourite among Derbyshire locals - and those from further afield.
The stepping stones were a victim of the terrible Storm Babet floods which devastated and disrupted the lives of thousands in October. River level records were broken all around Derbyshire and the wider country and many Peak District businesses fell victim to the heavy flooding.
