The Great Central Railway and Taylor’s Bellfoundry will be among the 12 locations taking part in the Loughborough Heritage Open Weekend later this month. On Saturday, September 14, and Sunday, September 15, visitors will be able to find out more about the history of the town.
They will be able to explore places that give an insight and experience of Loughborough’s history and local enthusiasts and volunteers will be on hand to guide and inform at each of the 12 sites.
The organisers said: "The vibrant market town of Loughborough has a fascinating history. We were mentioned in the Domesday Book, with royal permission granted to our Market and Fair in 1221.
