The police's non-emergency 101 telephone service in Leicestershire was unavailable for some time on Tuesday afternoon (September, 17) due to technical problems.
Leicestershire Police announced the outage in a social media post, stating: "We are aware of some technical issues with our 101 phone line service." The force says emergency 999 calls are not affected by the disruption.
The service is now back online.
