Three people needed treatment for smoke inhalation following Chesterfield fire

Fire crews from four stations were called to a fire in a commercial property in Chesterfield at 8.30am on Tuesday morning, which resulted in three people being treated for smoke inhalation.

Derbyshire police, who set up a cordon in Newbold Road, warned people living in the area to keep their doors and windows closed while the blaze was dealt with.

Crews came from Matlock, Chesterfield, including the aerial platform ladder, Staveley and Clay Cross and remianed there for several hours.
