Money-saving expert Martin Lewis is encouraging individuals to seize a fresh bank switching opportunity that has recently emerged, promising customers the chance to have extra cash "in time for Christmas".
First Direct has reintroduced its sought-after £175 switching incentive for newcomers who transfer their day-to-day banking to its current account. The HSBC affiliate, boasting approximately 1.5 million clients, has intermittently withdrawn and reinstated this promotion twice since the beginning of the year.
On his BBC podcast, Martin highlighted the return of the offer, noting that switching deals have been "poor" in recent months, and expressed: "So I'm pleased to see one back."
