A Leicestershire mum claimed her kids were left “terrified” after a firework was pushed through her family’s letterbox. Kerrian Bott, 34, said she was instantly woken up by what sounded like a “gunshot” when the firework was set off inside her house, in Mountsorrel, near Loughborough.
The mum-of-four claimed footage from her ring doorbell camera showed a man walking up to the house before appearing to knock on the door. Around ten minutes later, the video feed appears to show him striding up to the door before pushing the firework through and running off.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said the force was investigating the incident. It added no arrests had been made at this stage and inquiries continued.
