The Babington Arms in Derby has announced a deal to serve customers £1.99 pints for the foreseeable future, in order to “treat the loyal customers” and give back after prices have risen too high.
The new deal starts on Wednesday, September 18 and will see all ales available at The Babington Arms drop to £1.99, however on Wednesdays the Babington Arms will also be celebrating Real Ale Wednesday’s where the reductions will be even greater pushing down pints further to £1.79.
This new title of the cheapest pub to get a pint in Derby has been claimed, with other Wetherspoons in the area not partaking in the new ale deal. It couldn’t come at a better time with the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) stating that they have seen a rise of 4.6% in the price of pints from April 2023 to April 2024.
