Fresh parking proposals for a 72-seater restaurant are still "woefully inadequate", objectors claim. A plan to open a new pizzeria in Mountsorrel attracted concern from residents when it was first submitted to Charnwood Borough Council as no spaces were included.
Neighbours claimed they have been subject to "inconsiderate and illicit parking" since a café and retail unit opened on the same site in April and feared the new project would exacerbate the issues. Elderly members of the community and families with young children, have been left having to walk in the roads to get around vehicles parked on pavements, they said.
