DWP WASPI update on £3,000 'compensation' countdown battle

Women Against State Pension Inequality (WASPI) campaigners who are awaiting compensation have issued an alert with one month to go.

The WASPI initiative was put in place to help women who were born in the 1950s who say their retirement plans were thrown into chaos after not being properly notified by the Government that their State Pension age would increase by more than five years. Affected women, who were negatively affected by their pension age going up, say they are not against equalisation, but that they do not accept how the changes to their pensions were implemented with inadequate or no notice
