BBC Sounds and ITV star, Martin Lewis, has advised bank account holders to contemplate switching banks. The renowned money-saving expert underscored the need to ensure that customers are securing the best possible rates for their bank accounts due to fluctuating easy-access rates nationwide.

In a tweet, Lewis said: "The top easy access savings now beat fixes. Check what yours pay, you can still get 5% or more." Additionally, in his widely read newsletter, he elaborated: "What's happening to savings is a mirror of mortgages, except here higher rates are good, lower bad.
