Leicester and the wider UK has been pummelled by dismal weather recently, with widespread flooding wreaking havoc for many. However, people can look forward to a break from blocked roads and submerged vehicles as drier conditions are set to provide a welcome break.
A yellow weather warning for rain is in effect for Tuesday (October 1), signalling "a small chance" of heavy downpours leading to floods and disruptions. Among the areas affected by this warning are Leicester and the wider East Midlands as well as the east of England and Yorkshire and Humber, with up to 80mm of intense rainfall expected for some, reports the Mirror.
However, after this alert ends, the Met Office forecasts a gradual improvement in the weather. According to Met Office Meteorologist Aiden McGivern, weather patterns are set to shift on Wednesday (October 2).
