Despite today being a clearer day in Derbyshire, a number of flood alerts issued by the Environment Agency remain in place.
While there is some light rain predicted on Wednesday morning, October 2, the rest of the day is due to clear up with sunny intervals in the afternoon and a brighter end to the week. The Met Office has forecast that Thursday will have bright sunshine throughout the day with highs of of 15C.
Despite the brighter forecast for the rest of the week, there are still a number of flood alerts in place in Derbyshire. At one stage, more than 20 flood alerts were in place across the county in areas such as Bottle Brook, Lower Derwent, Lower Dove and the River Amber.
