A man used a knife stuck into a toothbrush handle to inflict a 3cm deep neck wound on another man. Benjamin Brown attacked his victim after an argument broke between two groups in Leicester city centre.

The incident, which happened on Monday, October 23 last year, saw the victim, stabbed in the Haymarket Bus Station shortly after the argument began. The victim, a 45-year-old man who was with a friend at the time, suffered a 7cm wound to his neck.

The victim's friend was also assaulted and sustained minor injuries in the attack. Brown, 44, formerly of Brighton Avenue, Syston, was identified and arrested the following day, police said.
