Man rushed to hospital after he was 'hit by car' near Lincoln Sainsbury's

A pedestrian was taken to hospital after he was reportedly hit by a car on a busy Lincoln road. Police were called to Carholme Road on the afternoon of Sunday, October 27 to a report of an incident involving a Nissan Qashqai and a pedestrian.

The man was taken to hospital where he remains after suffering serious injuries. One eyewitness reported that a man was hit by a car outside the Sainsbury's store and another noted a number of police vehicles in attendance at the time.

Officers are continuing to investigate the incident. The full statement from Lincolnshire Police reads: "We were called to Carholme Road, Lincoln, yesterday [October 27] at 4.37pm to a report of an incident involving a Nissan Qashqai and a pedestrian.
