A man arrested in connection with a village sexual assault on a dog walker has been released with no further action. Police investigations into the attack are ongoing one week on from the incident.

The victim, a woman in her 30s, was reportedly sexually assaulted in Bottesford just after 11.20am last Friday (November 1). She had been walking her dog along the path near Winter Beck, between Barkestone Lane and Belvoir Road in the village, when a man approached her from behind.

The suspect, described as white, aged between 30 and 40, of large build and 5ft 11ins or taller, left the scene before police arrived. Officers say he is believed to have short dark facial hair and left in the direction of Belvoir Road.
