Armed police were called to reports of a man with a possible "bladed weapon" in a Leicestershire town. One man has been arrested on suspicion of multiple offences, including threats to kill.
The incident happened in Coalville's Bardon Road on Friday (November 8) when officers from Leicestershire Police were called following “concerns about the welfare” of a man. It was reported the man was also in possession of a "bladed weapon".
Armed police were dispatched to the scene. A spokeswoman for the force said this was done “in the interests of officer and public safety”.

The spokeswoman confirmed that the man was located. A 56-year-old man was subsequently arrested at around 5.20pm on suspicion of possession of a bladed article, threats to kill and failing to provide a sample.
