Derbyshire police has issued a number of £50 fines to drivers using a permit-only road as a cut-through. After numerous reports from residents in the surrounding area of the Kedleston Road, Derbyshire police deployed officers to issue fines to those who used the road to cut through traffic.

The Kedleston Road service road, that acts as unauthorised cut-through, was used by non permitted road users in order to skip out queuing traffic going onto A38 Queensway.

However officers from the Allestree Police SNT deployed a van on Wednesday morning, November 13 to enforce the 'no motor vehicles' sign that is in place at either end of the service road.
